Hours: Approx. 22–30 hours per week (flexible)
Contract: Fixed-term or freelance (details to be shaped based on interest)
Location: Remote (with occasional travel)

About this opportunity
Defour Partnership is working in collaboration with Rape Crisis England & Wales to explore interest in a Data & Impact Specialist role supporting vital work with survivors of sexual violence.
This is not a formal recruitment campaign at this stage, but an Expression of Interest (EOI) to help us understand the level of interest from:
Individuals who may be available to start soon, and those who may be interested in freelance or flexible project-based work
We are keen to hear from values-led data professionals who are motivated by social impact and would like to contribute their skills to a national, survivor-centred organisation.

About the work
Working collaboratively across internal delivery teams, senior management, external funders, and our partners, the role would focus on ensuring high-quality, reliable and ethical use of data across Support Line services and wider organisational activity.

This may include:
Managing and maintaining high-quality qualitative and quantitative data
Supporting data accuracy through auditing, validation and quality checks
Supporting and training colleagues in best practice data entry, recognising that good data quality starts with confident, informed teams
Using systems such as Salesforce to produce reports, dashboards and insights

Supporting impact measurement, including qualitative insight such as thematic analysis and summarising feedback from survivors
Producing clear, accessible reporting for internal delivery teams, senior leadership, external funders and partners
Contributing data and insight to funding applications and impact narratives
Supporting continuous improvement of systems, processes and data confidence across the organisation
Work with the organisation’s external Data Protection Officer to ensure all data practices, processes and procedures within RCEW are compliant with UK GDPR
Where capacity allows, the role may also support wider IT and data priorities during quieter data periods (e.g. supporting during peak IT Projects or Cyber Essentials auditing preparation).

Who this may suit
This opportunity may be well suited to someone who:
• Has experience working in data, insight or reporting roles (ideally 3+ years, or equivalent experience)
• Is confident working with CRM systems (such as Salesforce) and tools like Excel and Power BI
• Has experience working with qualitative data, including thematic analysis or summarising lived-experience feedback
• Understands the importance of ethical data use, confidentiality and safeguarding
• Has experience handling sensitive or emotionally demanding subject matter, or feels equipped to work in a trauma-informed environment
• Enjoys collaborating with internal teams, senior leaders, funders and partners
• Is comfortable working independently, managing priorities and solving problems proactively
• Has an understanding of the violence against women and girls (VAWG) sector, or a willingness to learn

Why express an interest?
This is an opportunity to:
• Contribute to work that supports survivors of sexual violence
• Help shape how data is used to influence services, funding and decision-making
• Work flexibly within a compassionate, values-led organisation
• Use your skills in a role that balances analytical thinking with human impact
